help with languages

hi just bought a dbox from germany it is a nokia dbox2 with neutrino 2.1 installed problem is that it is all in german read that i need to change a item to english.locale but having problem finding it so as in can update the languages and also for some reason the box wont let me make any ammendments in the folder i am going to install commando on the box will this also update the languages and if not what do u recomend

to change the menu language to english you have to do the following steps with the remote control:
Press "d-box" button
Scroll down to "Einstellungen" (= setting) and select with "OK" button
Scroll down to "Sprache" (= language) and select with "OK" button
Scroll down to "english" and select with "OK" button
Press "Home" button or scroll up to "back" and select with "OK" button
Press "RED" button to save the settings (or scroll up to "save settings now"
and select with "OK" button.
You can only copy files to the /var subdirectory (jffs part), because all other directorys are read only (squashfs part)
