128 MB RAM Bootprobleme

Also ich blicke da nicht mehr ganz durch.

Wie es den das nun bei der Dbox genau ?

Also beim Booten ist der Flash vorne und hinter dem Falsh das Ram. dann kopiert sich der Bmon ins RAM und der Speicherbereich wird umgeschalten also ist dann das RAM vorne und hinter dem RAM auf 0x10000000 der Flash.

Was mich nun etwas iritiert ist das der Flash genau hinter den 32 MB Ram liegt. Was ist nun wenn ich mehr als 32 MB habe ?

Mit 64 MB gibts da wohl keine Problem was mir schon ein bischen unverständlich ist aber ich habe nun 128 MB und das macht nun Probleme wenn ich aus dem falsh boote. Liegt der Speicherbereich vom Flash den nun immer hinter den ersten 32 MB ?

Warum geht es dann mit 64 MB aber nicht mit 128 MB intern wenn es doch mit 64 +64 ja auch geht. Konnte es eventell daran liegen das bei zwei mal 64 MB der Speicher ja noch mit der Chipselect Leitung umgeschalten wird und bei 128 MB intern nicht ?

Kann es sein das es nun eine Konflikt mit den oberen 64 MB gibt da der Flash und das Ram dann parr sind ?

Hat da jemand eine Idee ?

Also ich habe nun folgendes feststellen können :

Ich konnte immer nur einmal mit dem DBOX2 Manager ein frisch entpacktes CDK booten. Beim zweiten mal blieb die Gui beim hochfahren hängen.

Dann habe ich mir wie im Wiki Beschrieben eine eigen Yaad gebaut und unter Linux gebootete. Dies hat auch immer nur einmal funktioniert.

Dann habe ich eine "normale" (32 MB) D-box angeschlossen diese fährt hoch.

Ich habe festgestellt das in einem neuen cdk unter ..../cdkroot/lib/modules beim ersten booten dateien generiert werden. Dort liegt dann eine modules.dep . Wenn diese vorhanden ist bootet eine Box mit mehr als 32 MB nicht mehr vom cdk. Wenn diese Datei gelöscht wird bootet die Box normal.

Irgendwie scheint es evt an der Reihenfolge zu liegen wie die Treiber gestartet werden.

Vorschläge zur Lösung des Problems sind willkommen.


Was mich etwas verwundert hat niemand Yadd Probleme mit 64 MB Boxen ?

Diese Meldung deutet üblicherweise auf einen Hardwaredefekt hin,
was aber komisch ist, wenn die Box beim ersten Mal bootet.
Hast Du es mal mit Kernel 2.6 probiert?
Hast Du schon versucht, vor dem zweiten Bootvorgang die
Box vom Strom zu trennen oder modules.dep vorher zu löschen?

Habe hier eine Sagem-Kabelbox, 32MB on-board, 32MB im
Erweiterungsslot, läuft ohne Probleme mit Flash und Yadd.

Ja die Box fährt hoch sobald die modules.dep gelöscht ist.

Hardwarefehler kann ich auch keinen erkennen da alles soweit funktiniert.

evt werden die Treiber mit der Datei anders geladen.

Welchen Inhalt hat denn die Datei modules.dep ?
Es sieht so aus als wenn es hier Probleme bzw. Hardwarekonflikte mit dem Avia-Ram gibt, wenn die Datei modules.dep vorhanden ist.

Dort steht halt drin wie der Kernel die Module läd.

Mir hat jemand aber gesagt das diese Datei erst ab dem 2.6er Kernel zum tragen kommt .

es schein die reihenfolge der Module ein Problem zu sein, den ohne die Datei werden die Module ja auch geladen vermutlich nur eben in einer anderen reihenfolge.

Weiss jemand wie man sich die Reihenfolge wie die Module geladen werden anzeigen kann ? Irgendwie kann ich gerade keine logic erkennen .

im flash wird modprobe nur mit kernel 2.6 benutzt. Beim Yadd weiss ich es nicht.
die modules.dep sagt dem modprobe, welche module wie voneinander abhängen.
Das Einzige was ich mir vorstellen kann ist, dass sich, wenn die da ist, entweder das Timing oder die Reihenfolge des Modulladens ändert.
