neutrino - pinging d-box failed

Hi.
I have a d-box 2, neutrino 0.4.0 , i used dbox II bootmanager to update the veriosn.
I used a crossover cable to connect to the d-box, IP configurd as static, but i cannot connect to the d-box , i still get the message
pinging d-box failed
that happens imediatly after i click on the start-button (on the bootmanager`s GUI)
now i have no idea what 2 do... could it be that i need a serial cable too ???
i also updated my network card, that also didnt solved the problem...

Name your desired image to 13.imgr and put it into the same directory as ppcboot.

must be: 13.img
