Info feature...
I find the combination dbox-neutrino absolut great. But regarding the infos about tv programms there's something I miss. Humax firmware, in a film for example, has the possibility to display the directors name, actors', year, original title of the film, etc. The EPG in dbox with neutrino is much better, but haven't found the way to display that info. Is it possible or could it be implemented in the future? (I don't dare to write this in the Feature Requests subforum, you don't deserve the torture of my crappy german ) Thanx for the great job!

@rasc
Yes, that's exactly it. It's particularly obvious in films. Humax gives a summary of the film, but also the Director's name, actors and actresses' names, year, original title, etc. Neutrino, doesn't. It just shows the summary (and obviously the information is there, cos Humax doesn't invent it, I guess ). On the other hand, Neutrino shows something that Humax firmware doesn't: other schedules for the same film in case it is broadcasted again on some other time or day.
I'm not talking exactly about the epg button, but what comes when you press [?], once you have highlighted a particular programm. I can attach a couple of pictures if you want. Cheers!

Maybe Humax uses something simmilar to Technisat SFI - it's a seperate Channel with "EPG"-Information. This may of course vary from the regular EPG.
See http://www.technisat.com/en/sat-infos/siehfern.sfi.php for further information.

You can use Imageshack to host your pictures, it's free. http://imageshack.us/index3.phperreka hat geschrieben:Been looking through the pictures of the Technisat EPG in that webpage and haven't found anything similar to this info that Humax offers. I got a couple of pictures to show you if you're interested but don't see the way to upload pictures in a message. Schade, Ich habe kein webpage...

Thanks a lot Dr Stoned!!!!
Ok, here your have an example of the different options given by Humax firmware (on a CI5100) and Linux on a Dbox2, regarding info feature [?].

It's exactly the same film, offered by the same provider. Much nicer look on Dbox, but lacking some info details. Cheers!

Mhh, strange...
If the Humax doesn't switch transponders, these data has to be transmitted via the SI stream (PES DSM-CC is very unlikely).
Could you please do the following:
start dvbsnoop on a dbox2 with the following option on a channel delivering these information on Humax.
dvbsnoop -n 3 -s sec -siderpid -nph 0x00 > file1.txt
dvbsnoop -n 30 -s sec -nph 0x12 > file2.txt
dvbsnoop -s pidscan > file3.txt
Please zip all files (1 zip archive) and upload somewhere...

Ooooooooops, didn't know this piece of software (dvbsnoop)... Sorry for that! But got it now and will try it. Will give you an answer when I have those text files.
Good night.
PS. Been reading explanations here:
http://dvbsnoop.sourceforge.net/dvbsnoop.html
Sorry, but can't help you with that. Have W98 on my PC, so I'm affraid I can't compile this soft for the dbox - but if there's a way and you tell me how -or if there is anything else I can do- I will do it).
By the way, as you can see the "summary info" is exactly the same in both examples (just the start of it in the Humax example): Secuela de la obra maestra del director de "La ultima sesión" que.... And yes, Humax is using the same transponder. Greetz!
