But after taking a first glance, I have some improvements:
- When mentioning German phrases, best would be to also deliver a translation for better understanding, e.g. "Fehler 04" ("error 04")
- Some important things are absolutly missing:
- when buying a linux pre-installed box, get a CD of the original files/os in any case from the seller. The original software is part of the box and will be needed to retrieve the so called "ucodes" (firmware for the chips inside the box). When updateing linux to a new version, you need these files!
- when replacing the original Betanova OS with linux,
retrieve the BN-OS of your dbox2. The operating system is "signed" and has to match your hardware. You need your original your OS also to get the microcode files (ucodes). Not obeying this primary rule will result in some headache after flashing linux to the dbox - you will not be able to watch TV with your dbox2. So, obey this simple rule a you will be happy...
I think I call this one the final if no one has anymore to report back...

Have to say that this file are nice with alot of good info but as i trying myself to get my box into Debug mode so did i discover one thing that are little unclear in the file: it tells about connecting the "flashreset point" but nothing about disconnecting it.
Oftopic:
Have soon given it up myself so i guess my box will soon meet my new hammer
