Probleme DBox Philips Hallenberg IF mit CF als Slave+JTG

Habe dank der top Anleitungen die man hier findet Dbox2 Philips mit HDD+IF Hallenberg+CF 1GB ausgestattet,Netzwerk funktioniert auch.Image ist JTG Sub2.2.5 und Snapshot vom 07/09/07 Nur hab ich Probleme die Platte zu Formatiern(XFS)und dem HDD Check .Formatieren sehr schnell (für ne 250GB Platte)aber HDD Check meldet Fehler.Mit dem Sofortaufnahmeverzeichnis bin ich mir nicht sicher ob ich das richtig verstehe und einstelle habe hdd/filme versucht bei der Aufnahme ist dann im TV kein Bild nur Ton,bei dem Versuch mit /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2(wenn meine Errinerung stimmt)kam dann immer Aufnahmeverzeichnis nicht beschreibbar.Ich weis nicht was ich noch alles getestet habe.Fehler ist schon gewesen bevor ich heute den Snapshot geladen habe.Ich hoffe hier kann mir jemand sagen was ich falsch mache.Bootlog versucht aber ich bekomme die Meldung Beiträge<10 also keine U konnte keine im Log finden tip?

O je! Irgendwie wird da laufend versucht, auf eine dritte Partition zuzugreifen, die es aber gar nicht gibt. Es wird auch versucht, diese Partition unter /hdd/custom einzuhängen, ohne daß der Mountpunkt existiert.

Ich hab die ausufernden Neutrino-Menüs neulich schon an anderer Stelle bemeckert, aber beim IDE-Menü des JtG-Images wird es wirklich ärgerlich. Wieso muß ich über ein Menü zig verschiedene Partitionen anlegen können, wenn nicht sichergestellt ist, daß ich die Fehlerausgaben beim Partitionieren am Fernseher angezeigt bekomme? Das erste IDE-Skript von JtG war in Ordnung. Es hat eine Swap- und eine Datenpartition angelegt. Die Datenpartition wurde nach /hdd gemountet. Fertig. Wer mehr wollte, mußte per Telnet und Kommandozeile selber ran. Solche Leute wissen im allgemeinen, was sie tun, zumindest sieht man auf der Kommandozeile Fehlerausgaben.

Zurück zum Problem: Der einfachste Weg wäre, komplett von vorne anzufangen. Alle Partitionen auf der Platte löschen, Image neu flashen und beim Einrichten der Platte darauf achten, daß nur eine Swap- und eine Datenpartition angelegt wird.

LOL, ne scherz bei seite solche ähnlichen Probleme hatte ich auch schon, damals war es beim Yadi, wo er (warum auch immer) versucht hat die hdd ins tmp-fs zu mounten. Ich konnte das problem auch nur am telnet beheben, hatte dann aber bis zum letzten JtG nichts mehr dran gedreht, jetzt klappts auch ohne Telnet, also im neuen JtG, vermutlich wirklich nur ne fehleinstellung

Wieso muß ich über ein Menü zig verschiedene Partitionen anlegen können, wenn nicht sichergestellt ist, daß ich die Fehlerausgaben beim Partitionieren am Fernseher angezeigt bekomme? Das erste IDE-Skript von JtG war in Ordnung. Es hat eine Swap- und eine Datenpartition angelegt. Die Datenpartition wurde nach /hdd gemountet. Fertig.

Das ist mit dem Jtg auch nicht anders. Du brauchst nicht zwangsläufig überall angaben machen es wird automatisch partitioniert wenn Du keine angaben machst und es sind dann zwei Partitionen. (Swap und Datenpartition).
Man hätte aber vieleicht einen Unterpunkt machen können für benutzerdefiniert, so das es klar hervor geht.

Tach auch danke für die Hilfe,hatte die HDD über XP neu formatiert ,Image neu,HDD dann über das HDD Menü von JTG neu formatiert nun ging das Aufzeichnen hab dann versucht nach meinen wünschen die HDD einzurichten also auch die CF-Card.Plözlich Anzeige Kanal zurzeit verfügbar.Im Bootlog"[camd] CA_SEND_MSG: Remote I/O error

Habe mit der sufu viel dazu gefunden verstehe das aber wohl nicht in meiner init_ide finde ich die Einträge nicht oder gibt es von der init_ide verschiedene??? bin dankbar für jeden der versucht mir das step by step zu zeigen

Ich nochmal, ich schaffe es immer noch nicht meiner DBox beizubringen das ich Swap gerne auf der CF laufen hätte. (/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part1 )bin ich der Meinung das es wohl der Pfad für die Partition sein soll nach allem was ich gelesen habe,/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 für /hdd und mein Wunsch /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part3 für mp3 und Foto`s, /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part2 sollte dann für Daten sein(epg zb.) Nu habe ich wirklich viel dazu gelesen,hatte im JTG Forum auch ein Beitrag wo ich dachte das ich so vorgehen kann/muss aber ein paar Versuche führten wohl ins Nichts(bin was Linux angeht leider ein Laie) In dem Beitrag schrieb amigaherbie(ich hoffe es ist in Ordnung das ich das hier so einfüge) eine Anleitung um eine 2 Platte in die 3 Partition einzubinden Zitat:Scheint ja nicht viele andere mit zweiter HDD zu geben, also übernehme ich mal den Job.
Also, zuerst kopierst du dir die init_ide aus dem Verzeichnis /etc/init.d auf den PC. Die muß nun angepaßt werden und danach in das Verzeichnis /var/etc kopiert werden.
Du mußt in der Datei bei der gewünschten Partitionsnummer deinen Pfad eintragen. Mal angenommen, du hast als erste Partition Swap und als zweite den Rest der ersten HDD (die ja als Master läuft) eingetragen (soweit Standard). Dann willst du also als dritte Partition die zweite Festplatte (Slave) am Stück einbinden. Dafür must du bei der Abfrage für .hddpart3 folgendes stehen haben:

Damit wird die erste Partition (part1) auf der Slave-Platte (target1) eingebunden unter /mnt/custom. Als Dateisystem läuft auf jener Partition ext2. Wenn du ein anderes Dateisystem hast, dann bitte entsprechend abändern in ext3 oder xfs. Soweit alles klar? Mit dieser variabel gehaltenen Erklärung dürfte auch die Einbindung einer vierten Partition (.hddpart4) kein Problem darstellen.

Hallo e30! Du bekommst natürlich auch hier Antworten auf dein Problem, hättest aber gerne auch direkt im JTG Forum fragen können.

Vorweg:
ich bin auch kein Linux Crack! Aber beim durchsehen habe ich dann doch einen fundamentalen Fehler beim Mounten des Swaps bei dir gesehen. Der Swap wird von Linux selbst verwaltet, daher ist da KEINE Angabe eines Dateisystems richtig. Du hättest also nur meine Zeile an dieser Stelle komplett übernehmen können, weil du ja auch den Swap auf die erste Partition des Slaves (bei dir CF) legen willst. Ändere einfach die eine Stelle ab in:

if [ -e /var/etc/.hddpart1 ] ; then
/sbin/swapon /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part1 && /bin/mount -n -t tmpfs tmpfs /tmp -o size=128M,remount
fi

und es sollte gehen. Voraussetzung ist allerdings, daß du diese Partition auch als Swap formatiert und ausgewiesen hast (ich weiß nicht, ob das HDD Menü oder andere Skripte das können). Falls das nicht geschehen ist, muß an dieser Stelle jemand anderes als ich helfen. Weil dann muß man per telnet irgendeinen Befehl für die Umformatierung senden.

wenn ich jetzt versuche in /mnt/custom ein Ordner epg zu erstellen (über Total Commander) kommt die Meldung das der Ordner nicht erstellt werden kann,über TelNet kommt die Meldung das das File System read only ist


wenn ich das richtig verstehe ist der Eintrag rw in der init_ide doch für read and write oder? Über den DBoxCommander geht es auch nicht.Bin ich falsch mit der Annahme das ich an der Stelle mein Ordner erstellen kann?

Im JTG Menü hab ich auf Slave eingestellt ,Formatiert und keine Fehlermeldung erhalten,wenn ich über WIN Xp und Kartenleser mir die CF-Karte ansehe sind 2 Partitionen vorhanden,die erste 128mb (ich nehme mal an das es der SWAP ist),die zweite der Rest.Gebe ich bei TelNet free ein bekomme ich den SWAP angezeigt ist aber ungenutzt.Knoppix liveCD hab ich auf meinem PC noch nicht zum laufen bekommen um die Partition mir unter Linux anzusehen.

Hallo e30,

schau dir nochmals meinen geposteten Ausschnitt an. Bei dir ist beim mounten vom Swap am etwas doppelt gemoppelt.

Aber Swap scheint ja dennoch zu tun. Und wie du richtig vermutest: rw steht für Read/Write. ro würde für ReadOnly stehen.

Ich kann nicht wirklich sagen, wo bei dir ein Fehler in der init_ide liegen kann. Das Einzige was mir auffällt, ist, daß beim Mounten bei dir immer ein Minuszeichen vor dem Dateisystem steht, also -xfs. Ich benutze zwar ext2 als Dateisystem, aber bei mir steht dabei nie ein Minuszeichen. Hier ein Beispiel:

Siehst du den kleinen Unterschied? Bei mir jedenfalls mit ext2 macht das den Unterschied aus, ob die Partition gemountet werden kann oder nicht. Und wenn sie nicht gemountet ist, kann auch nicht geschrieben werden, gelle ;-) Schau einfach mit dem Befehl mount (keine weiteren Optionen eigeben) per Telnet nach, ob deine gewünschte Partition überhaupt gemountet werden konnte.

jo das mit dem Swap habe ich, glaube ich gesehen das wird geändert,mit dem - vor dem Dateisystem sehe ich nicht,aber manchmal ist man ja blind.Hab die Zeile von Dir zusammen mit meiner verglichen finde leider den Unterschied nicht wenn ich es jetzt schaffe sind hier gleich beide untereinander zusehen und ich sehe leider kein Unterschied wenn Du Zeit hast wirf bitte noch ein Blick drauf.

Achso der Swap meldet bei TelNet immer noch 136544 frei aber null benutzt.Ich glaube der funktioniert auch nicht ,ist es vieleicht mein CF-Adapter der das Problem macht?Formatieren geht aber, und die Type der CF stimmt in den Angaben auch(CF,1GB,etc)

Zum Swap:
keine Sorge, der wird schon tun! Der wird erst belegt, wenn er auch gebraucht wird. Kopier doch einfach mal ein MP3 oder ne andere Datei bis maximal 128 MB nach tmp und schau dann wieviel benutzt wird.

Ja der Swap ist mit acht mp3 nach tmp gewachsen guter Tip für einen Test danke,dann muss ich denn Rest ja auch noch irgendwie hinbekommen
oder hier hat mal jemand das selbe Problem gehabt wie ich und meldet sich.Ist mir aber sehr hilfreich gewesen .Verstehe aber nicht warum der Swap funktioniert aber meine 2 Partititon (der CF )als read only gilt.

Naja, jetzt ist es klar! Ist ja nix von deinen Daten-Partitionen gemountet. Probier mal im Telnet das einzugeben:
/bin/mount -n -t xfs -o rw /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 /hdd

und schau dann wieder mit mount, ob es endlich gemountet wurde. Ansonsten kann die Fehlermeldung vielleicht Aufklärung bringen.

Prinzipielles:
Du darfst nicht einfach nur nen Slave am Strang haben ohne Master! Also HDD als Master ans Ende des IDE Kabels, den CF als Slave an den Abgriff im Kabel! Master alleine geht, Slave alleine nicht!!!

na da bin ich wohl ein bischen zu spät gewesen.Ich habe meine hdd immer am ide Port angeschlossen,nur im Menü von JTG ist von mir momentan Slave gewählt um die CF z.B. zu formatieren werde nu mal die Eingabe bei TelNet starten
