Servicescan mit non-universal LNB

Beitrag von dima »

I have dbox2 Nokia sat 2xI Neutrino
Trying to scan Eutelsat W4 36 with NTV+ with left/right polarisation
Single band LNB wih LOF 10750 and no transponders found
But using BN2.0 I found 6 transponders approx 52 channels.
Also tested universal LNB 9750 10600 with depolarisation plastine
and also found nothing
Does anybody know how to solve the problem?

As far as I know there is no feature to select the LOF of the LNC in current firmware. Only 9750/10600 Mhz ( UNI-LNC ) is supported.

As solution I would edit the services.xml manually with data from channel search with D-Box1 or with service list from http://www.satcodx.com.

Also you have to set a offset in frequency to compensate the different LOF of LNC. The frequency difference is than 150 Mhz ( 10750-10600).

I do not know if this works but I believe this is the only solution for the moment.

Perhelps there is a "switch" in the firmware to select another LOF, the developers should know:-))

Check the "zapit.conf". (I think it es that one), located in the var/tuxbox/zapit.

In that file you ell find LOF for the four possible satellies (0-3). Try to change the one which meets your DiSEqC setting to 10750. Good luck.

Yepp, this looks good.

Does it mean that I can use the D-Box2 for the C-Band too?? So I select 5150 Mhz for Diseqc 4/4 and can connect my C-Band LNC there??

Theoretically yes. Since the DVB standard is always the same considering that you have good signal strength, why not? This value is always just added to the ZF (between 950-2050 MHz)

I'll try soon on 11° West with bulgarian and russian services in C-Band. They are quite strong.

One more question. If I change the description for satellite in the satellites.xml, take this change place in the menu? For example, I edit the name "Thor" into "Express11A" does this description appear in the menu structure or have I do something more??

Auf gut Deutsch: Wenn ich den Satnamen editiere ( in der satellites.xml), ändert der sich dann auch im Menü der Box oder ist der dort gefixt?? Wenn gefixt, wo kann der dann geändert werden??

I' ve changed sattelite name for some images containing satellites.xml
and new name appeared in scan menu. Also issued my own frequencies in the same file using MED editor.

Thanks for your advices!
