Philips Dbox2 ucode recovery

Beitrag von watty »

 I have a philips dbox2 decoder which had neutrino running on it until earlier this year when it stopped. I was told there was new software to start it working again, I downloaded "yet another yadi " and tried to install it I did'nt have a serial cable connected at the time and now I have the following message "nach /var/tuxbox/ucodes laden". I am english speaking so I have been finding it very difficult to find the method to resolve this problem I now have the null modem cable. I can ftp to the box and move around the directories without a problem. If anyone could help me that would great.

Did you press the "OK"-button after uploading? Do you use any "Smartcard"? If so, what kind of card it is? For example: K02, P02, S02.

:D I now have the box in a bit of a working state, it boots up and I now have a menu on my television again. I have the following files loaded on the box:
avia600vb028 ucode:ucode_0014 (built in)
cam-Alpha: cam_01_02_106E
The above files I manually entered on to the box are these the correct ones. I can connect the box to the internet for a proper update would this be the best thing for me to do. ??
