Audio problems

I have recently obtained a Sagem Dbox and have a problem with audio output.
When I connect to the TV using the TV output scart socket I get picture but no sound.
If I connect the TV using the VCR socket both picture and sound are fine.
Can anyone help / advise please

As it turns out it was something simple in the end. I still don't know how I did it but it was something to do with pressing the mute button twice and hey presto sound was restored
