vorab sorry, daß schon wieder nach YADD gefragt wird.
Bekomme es aber einfach nicht hin.
Habe mir kommerziell Linux auf die Box spielen lassen.
Funktioniert gut.
Kann ich nun ein YADD einspielen bzw. muß meine dbox2 (nokia 2 x intel) in den debug-modus versetzt werden um ein YADD zu benutzen oder ist die box (nachdem linux installiert ist) bereits im debug-modus?+#
Dies vorab.
Habe meine bos mit Netzwerkabel mit dem Rechner verbunden und ein Nullmodemkabel an die com-port angbracht.
Im bootmanager habe ich die notwendigen Einstellungen vorgenommen. Hoffentlich alle.
Also:
DBox IP eingegeben
Meinen Netzwerkadapter eingegeben.
Com-Port geöffnet
Bei Bootp folgenden Pfad eingegeben:
C:\TestYADD\tftpboot\ppcboot
Mein YADD habe ich vor mit den Linux-Utilities im Verzeichnis C:\TestYADD entpackt. Die Verzeichisse cdkroot und tftpboot liegen als Unterverzeichnisse im Verzeichnis C:\TestYADD vor.
Den NFS-Server gestartet.
Als Root-Verzeichnis C:\TestYADD\cdkroot angegeben.
Wenn ich nun START drücke und anschließend die Dbox starte wird einfach die bereits installierte Software gestartet.
Die box ist im übrigen über Netz ansprechbar als ping funktioniert.
Der dbos II bootmanager gibt noch folgendes an:

Ist das alles ok?
Habe gelesen, daß ich evtl noch etwas mit den ucodes machen muß.
Wo bekomme ich die her. Könnte sie ja nur aus der Software entnehmen, die auf der box bereits installiert ist.
Ach so. Wenn ich im dbox II bootmanager auf Den RSH Client (was immer das auch sein mag) gehe und eine unix Befehl absende, gibt er immer an: couldn`t connect do dbox (Timeout ..?)
Habe ich vielleicht den Anschluß mit dem Nullmodemkabel nicht richtig gemacht?
Vielleicht könnt Ihr mir noch einen TIP geben.

OK, wenn die Box anpingbar ist, sollte das eigentlich funktionieren.
Für das serielle Nullmodem musst Du den Com-Port aktivieren und die Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit auf 9600 festlegen.
Schau dann mal ins Com-terminal, da sollte sich was tun.
RSH geht nicht, lediglich beim debug-enablen wird der RSH-Client benötigt.
Die Ucodes findest Du auf der vom Umbauer mitgelieferten CD, bzw. kannst Du sie mit FTP aus dem Verzeichnis /ucodes der Box holen.
Sie kommen nach Yadd/var/tuxbox/ucodes.

Deine Netzwerkkarte hat den BootP-Request der Box nicht rechtzeitig beantwortet.
Halt mal bei Start der Box die Pfeil-nach-oben Taste gedrückt und gibt dann im com-terminal "boot net" ein.
