help for french guy on upgrading philips dbox2

hello i dlike to upgrade my dbox2 with linux, with an image from alex, but i dont know how to do??.
does i got to use dreambox boot manager????
does i need a network cable or a simple com port????
does somebody have a french documentation or english one???
