if you want to push the Portuguese language in the Tuxbox, please allow me to make the following two suggestions:
Assuming that you are a Neutrino user, the Portuguese language file, portugues.locale, is in severe need of updating. It was updated last time 17 months ago, and 533 translations are missing. For this, you may find the small utility that I wrote create-locals-update.pl useful. It resides in CVS in the same directory as the locale files ...apps/tuxbox/neutrino/data/locale. You may like to edit it to use english.locale as master instead of deutsch.locale. Make sure that you understand what this "UTF-8"-business is all about, otherwise your work is wasted. Similar statements probably go for enigma.
Secondly, if you want to provide Portuguese translation to plugins like tuxtxt, please submit machine readable files. For the case of tuxtxt, this should be tuxtxt.h.
