Philips Flash auslesen klappt nicht !??

Hallo,

nach dem Debug-enablen wollte ich bei meiner Philpis das Original BN 2.1 Flashimage auslesen - aber es klappt nicht. Ich habe alle drei im Forum angegebene Methoden ausprobiert - was nun?

Hier meine Erfahrungen:
Grundkonfiguration: crosskabel 10tBase Ethernet verbunden, Nullmodem an seriell.
Debug enabled, aber noch Original BN software drauf.
Dbox meldet beim booten "Bmon V1.0 mId02 " ,..., "lade ..."
nach Abwarten kommt "Premiere Einen Moment bitte".

Methode 1: Image auslesen von Field
DBoxmanager RARP, BootP auf ppcboot_flash, NFS ankl
icken, kein Start sondern "Utilities/image auslesen" anwählen, Dbox reset (linke Taste hoch+Power).
Im COM-Fenster erscheint:

Creating 3 MTD partitions on "D-Box 2 flash memory":
0x00000000-0x00020000 : "BR bootloader" <---partition0
0x00020000-0x00800000 : "flash without bootloader" <---partition1
0x00000000-0x00800000 : "complete flash" <---partition2
bei der letzten methode werden nur 3 partitionen erstellt, per telnet müßtest du mit
cat /dev/mtd/1 >/tmp/flash.img
das aus der box rauskriegen was du haben möchtest

bei der zweiten mehtode (dbox2.rar) scheint irgendwas den zugriff auf die platte zu verhindern, hast da evt noch ne Firewall oder sowas laufen?

daß die erste mehtode nicht funktioniert scheint dieselbe ursache zu haben, irgendwas blockiert da die kommunikation.

wenn du bei der dritten mehtode per FTP auf die box gehst um das image aus /tmp abzuholen könnte sich das auch noch bemerkbar machen, probiers mal

achja: das nenne ich mal ein ausführliches LOG :wink:

Hallo,

danke, daß Ihr Euch mein etwas langes log angesehen habt.
Als Nicht-Experte weiß man eben nie, was daran wichtig ist und was nicht ....

Der Tip mit dem Kopieren der special files 0, 1 und 2 (statt 5) war goldrichtig; hätte ich eigentlich selber drauf kommen müssen (wenn ich gewußt hätte, daß MTD/0,1,2 special files für den flash Speicher sind).

Alles gut aus tmp ausgelesen mit FTP ohne Probleme;
Aufspielen von AlexW-image war erfolgreich, Empfang klappt tadellos.

Warum die beiden anderen Methoden nicht gehen, weiss ich nicht; Virenscanner und ZoneAlarm habe ich extra deinstalliert von dem PC.
Übrigens: Es ist ein Notebook mit 200 Mhz Celeron und Win98SE ....
Ist das wichtig?

Also: Ein großes Lob für Euch! Eine solche schnelle, gute Hilfe habe ich nicht erwartet.

naja
notebootk war klar, steht ja da oben in dem schönen ausführlichen Log (***Adapter Desc: PCMCIA Ethernet Card (via IpHlpApi #3) )
mit der Geschwindigkeit ist das manchmal bei langsameren Kisten (so bis 100MHz) sone sache, da wills einfach nicht klappen mit dem netzwerk und der dbox.
