@box: da ist natürlich nichts drin, das steht nur da, weil alle avia_XXX-Dateien zusammen eingecheckt wurden und alle denselben Änderungskommentar haben.
Es ist nur eine Zeile in avia_gt_dmx.c geändert worden, die das Zucken betrifft.
Aber anscheinend war das ganze nicht so richtig toll.
Bei einigen scheint es zu funktionieren, bei anderen verursacht es (wieder) Farbflimmern und wieder bei anderen bewirkt es gar nichts.
Ausserdem ist der Fix nicht von mir, ich habe die Zeile nur mal bei mir eingebaut und die ist dann ins CVS "geraten"
Gepostet hatte es chkdesign aber die eigentlich Änderung hatte anscheinend mal fx2 als Workaround gegen Farbflimmern gemacht.

Hi,
könntet ihr mal die neue Treiber Version testen? Erstmal nur so.
Wenn es läuft dann gibt es irgendwo im avia_gt_dmx.c ein #if 0 das ändert Ihr dann mal auf #if 1 und nochmal neu compilieren && testen.
Im #if 1 Mode mal per Telnet auf die Box einloggen und dmsg ausführen. Da sollten Werte nach folgendem Muster auftreten:

Wichtig ist der letzte. Der sollte immer um 0 herum liegen. Mal darüber mal darunter. Wenn die Werte nicht bei 0 liegen (wie hier) dann müsst Ihr im Source #define GAIN xxxx auf einen größeren Wert setzten. 0x7FFF ist Maximum.
Wäre toll wenn Ihr mal probieren könntet wann Flimmern auftrifft (GAIN = XXXX) und bei welchem GAIN die Werte gerade noch bei 0 liegen. Bitte immer den gleichen Kanal testen, da es evtl. unterschiede geben könnte.

@Jolt: Macht es etwas aus, wenn mehrere Leute das ganze auf unterschiedlichen Programmen testen oder wäre es sinnoll, daß es alle auf dem gleichen Kanal prüfen ?
Also nicht nur alle Tests einer Person auf dem gleichen Kanal, sondern alle Tests aller Personen auf dem gleichen Kanal
Oder gibt es einen speziellen (für alle empfangbaren) Kanal, der besonders kritisch ist?

Ich habe in keiner Variante "Zucken" festgestellt und auch Farbflimmern konnte ich nicht feststellen.
Die Resultate der demsg-Ausgaben war nicht so toll.
Ich hatte nie negative Werte. Aber immer positive und je länger ich mit der Eingabe von demsg wartete, wurden die Werte immer höher und höher.
Im besten Fall (GAIN=0x2000) fing der Wert bei 8000 an, ansonsten immer so bei 16000. Wobei das natürlich schwierig ist zu vergleichen, wenn es zeitabhängig immer mehr wird

Wobei es komischerweise keinen Einfluß aufs Bild hatte???! Oder habe ich nicht lang genug gewartet???
Was ich (nicht immer und auch nicht nachvollziehbar) hatte, war ein Durchlaufen der folgenden beiden Zeilen auf der Konsole:
Durchlaufen heisst, sie kamen eeeeeeeewig lang. Und nach einiger Zeit kamen sie dann nicht mehr ?!
Meine gesammelten Ergebnisse als Log-File kann ichDir gerne zur Verfügung stellen (ist hier glaube ich zuviel). Aber ob Dir das was bringt?
Wenn Bedarf besteht, stelle ich auch gerne die Module (in welches wird eigentlich avia_gt_dmx.c reingelinkt, ich habe immer alle avia-Module ausgetauscht ) irgendwo zum downloaden zur Verfügung, damit das auch noch andere testen können...

Wobei es komischerweise keinen Einfluß aufs Bild hatte???! Oder habe ich nicht lang genug gewartet???
Was ich (nicht immer und auch nicht nachvollziehbar) hatte, war ein Durchlaufen der folgenden beiden Zeilen auf der Konsole:

Wenn Bedarf besteht, stelle ich auch gerne die Module (in welches wird eigentlich avia_gt_dmx.c reingelinkt, ich habe immer alle avia-Module ausgetauscht
) irgendwo zum downloaden zur Verfügung, damit das auch noch andere testen können...Vielleicht bei Homar?

vielen Dank für das Feedback. Leider war in der Version ein kleiner Fehler, sodass nur GTX Boxen richtig liefen.
Die neue Version sollte nun auch auf ENX Boxen laufen. Der Testmode ist jetzt per default aktiv. Also reicht es nun mit dem GAIN Wert zu experimentieren.
Es spielt dabei keine Rolle welcher Kanal. Nur sollte es immer der gleiche sein.

Wie sieht es in der aktuellen Version mit "Varianten" aus?
Der GAIN ist ja jetzt 25, soll man da noch verschiedene Bereiche ausprobieren oder ist das so für alle O.K. ?
Gibt es die Ausgaben noch, die man per demsg anschauen kann und prüfen, ob der Wert gegen 0 geht?
Mehr könnte ich sonst leider auch nicht testen, da bei mir bisher auch noch kein Flimmern und nur ganz selten ein zucken zu sehen war...

ich habe mir mal das Snapshot vom 30.08. installiert.
Zuvor habe ich beim "Wedding Planner" wieder das vereinzelte Zucken am unteren Rand feststellen können (Kabel 1xi Sagem).

Hallo,
ja, das horizontale Zucken tritt nur auf bei "echten" 16:9 Sendungen mit 4:3 Darstellung, d.h. die Box erzeugt die schwarzen Balken. Bei Auto/16:9 Darstellung ("Eierkopf" auf alten 4:3 Fernsehern) ist das Zucken weg.
Gut zum testen eignen sich 3sat/BR3/BR Alpha im Free TV. Wichtig: Die 16:9-Symbol in der Statusanzeige muss leuchten. Manchmal ist das Zucken nur schwach oder gar nicht festzustellen, es scheint auch abhängig vom Bildinhalt zu sein.
Ein anderes Problem ist noch das vertikale Zucken des gesamten Bildes, egal ob 16:9 oder 4:3. Siehe auch

Eine früher geäußerte Vermutung, dass ein Jitter auf dem Sync-Signal die Ursache ist, ist falsch. Ich habe das mal mit einem anderen Sync-Geber untersucht. Außerdem würde sonst das OSD auch in diesem Bereich zittern, und das ist nicht der Fall.
