Help .. dbox2 doesn't find channels on VIA transponders

Beitrag von Starbuck99 »

When running YADD (1.6) or ANY other IMAGE on my Sagem with 2x intel the dbox isn't able to find the signals for viaccess channels on Eutelsat W2.
The transponders are as follows.

This is also the setup in my satellite.xml file

<sat name="Eutelsat W2 16.0E">
<transponder frequency="11534000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>
<transponder frequency="11658000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>
<transponder frequency="11492000" symbol_rate="29950000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>
<transponder frequency="11617000" symbol_rate="29950000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>

The 1st 2 transponders at SR 30000000 are picked up 100% and all channels are recognized. However, the 2nd 2 transponders with SR of 29950000 are seen, but no channels are found.

The lynxsat info on the last 2 transponders can be found here: http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/parabole.shtml

The YADD script looks as follows:

[CFrontend::getEvent] FE_COMPLETION_EV: freq 1784000
found new transponder(s) on 11534000 30000000 0
[CFrontend::setFrontend] freq 1908000

no new transponder(s) in current nit
[CFrontend::setFrontend] freq 1742000

Any help to resolve this problem is appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Starbuck99

take this order:

<transponder frequency="11492000" symbol_rate="29950000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>
<transponder frequency="11534000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>
<transponder frequency="11617000" symbol_rate="29950000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>
<transponder frequency="11658000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4"/>

I think it es worth a try.
Gruß
Fredman

Why do you have fec_inner="4"?
The quoted website states something like FEC 3/4.
Imho that should be fec_inner="3" (see code below).
Maybe that helps.

Code: Alles auswählen

/*
 * ost frontend api
 */

CodeRate CFrontend::getFEC (uint8_t FEC_inner)
{
        switch (FEC_inner)
        {
        case 0x01:
                return FEC_1_2;
        case 0x02:
                return FEC_2_3;
        case 0x03:
                return FEC_3_4;
        case 0x04:
                return FEC_5_6;
        case 0x05:
                return FEC_7_8;
        case 0x0F:
                return FEC_NONE;
        default:
                return FEC_AUTO;
        }
}
Best regards
