Unable to update box ?

Hi, I have a Nokia DBox2 currently loaded with Enigma. Previously I have loaded new images inot the box without any problem. However, I managed to bend the pins in the serial port connector while connecting my serial lead, and now I have a problem. I can neither update my box using DBoxBoot Manager or upload files using Leech FTP. I assumed that I had damaged the serial connector, so I removed the main board and re-soldered the 9 connections on the bottom of the board where the serial port connects to the board. However, if I have damaged the serial port, surely that would not stop me using the network port and Leech FTP to connect to the box. I have checked that the IP addresses on my PC and DBox have not changed, but otther than that, I am confused as to what the problem is. Can anyone help me ?

p.s. The box boots up properly and works perfectly also
