What about some more Informations like logs, what you try to do, how your setup looks like ....

I've got a sagem with 1 flash. Trying to update from alexw 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 the dbox blocked. So I had to shut the power off. Then trying to reboot it the dbox stopped at the loading kernel stage.
I've tried to ping and to telnet, but I have no answer.
I have no logs...

Just reflash the box with a complete image and off you go.

Use the Dbox2-Bootmanager.

Instruction on http://dboxupdate.berlios.de/install.php#basebm (dunno if there is some documentation for that in english too).

start the box with the "arrow up" button pressed (on the frontpanel, not the remote). it will make some tests and end up with a prompt "dbox2:root>".

Just type boot net, press Etner and enjoy.

After having typed boot here's what I get:

dbox2:root> boot net
debug:

debug:
debug: Transmitting BOOTP request via broadcast
debug: Given up BOOTP/TFTP boot
boot net failed
boot: elfcopy failed: 16
dbox2:root>

That's what I get from the ip-debug messages:

Either something blocks your NIC (virusscanner, firewall) or you misconfigured your network.

Really need more detailed information:

- version of Windows?
- how many NICs, what brand and which IPs are set?
- how did you setup the Bootmanager?
- what's shown in the network-log (complete log please)?
