may be you should try the cable bruteforce channel search. by using the telekom/ish settings your box will only search cable areas which are used by these companies. Cable Bruteforce will scan alle transponders and services so will get a better result. but i'm not sure if the d-box2 is a cable receiver for your english cable. mabye it is different to the german one!?! do you know any british cableusers with a d-box?

Hi All
@mirror image
Are you Twest or NTL. Scanning on Twest is very difficult with Dbox2 I use a DVB-C card to make services.xml for my area. If the Dbox was previously at Telecom/Ish and you upload a new cables.xml without Telecom/Ish in the file then it will lock up and not scan. While you are testing it is better just to add your providers to the existing list.
This is an example:
- <cable name="NTL default (FEC 3)" satfeed="true" flags="9">
<transponder frequency="755000000" symbol_rate="6887000" fec_inner="3" modulation="3" />
</cable>
- <cable name="TWEST default (FEC 0)" flags="9">
<transponder frequency="619000000" symbol_rate="6952000" fec_inner="0" modulation="3" />
</cable>
Get in touch we can help each other
