Strange booting Issue

Hello,

I have a funny problem with my box - when I switch on from the wall plug sometimes the OS will not boot up - I just get a green LCD.

Sometimes it will boot up straight away, sometimes I have to switch on and off a couple of times , sometimes I switch on/off about 20 times and it will boot up.

When it does boot I can flash etc OK. If I also put in standby from remote it is also OK.

What could this be?. I know basic electronics so could look inside. btw what screwdriver type do I need to open the side of case - they are like torx with a pin in the middle.

No startup after poweron can have many sources:

- defective powersupply (i.E. condensators)
- defective frontprocessor
- defective cpu
- defective whatever

The Torx ist 5 star temper-resistant, special design from nokia.

Hello. I'm german but this topic is what I was looking for.

My Nokia DBox has the same Problem. When I first switched on the box it works fine. But after a few turn-offs it remains at the yadi boot screen and nothing happens. The display is green. After 30 seconds the box shuts down or displays the menu where you can choose between neutrino, enigma, maintenance and shutdown. When I choose enigma, the display becomes green again and after 10 seconds it shuts down. But sometimes it works, but only one of 20 or 30 . . .

Is the box defect? First the box had yadi 2.0.0.7 . I thought it could be unstable and flashed 1.10.x.x . Everthing worked fine - the box displayed that I have to put the ucodes in and I did. After that the same problem as with 2.0.0.7.
