Time Change to GMT and recording to video

Beitrag von Elle007 »

Please remember I am not technically/computer minded in the least.

Point 1 - My d-box runs at 1 hour ahead of GMT and I cannot see how to change it.

Point 2 - I don't seem to be able to record to my video has anyone else experienced this Its soooo frustrating! :(

Can someone help me please

1.) daylight saving time?
So GMT+1 would be correct.

2.) an old fashioned VHS VCR?
This should work. Try the check the VCR connector (SCART): switch TV and VCR scart cables on the dbox2. You should see the VCR signal on your TV.
If this is not the problem, we need some more information (e.g. Recording setup of Neutrino correctly configured?)

For your time problem

click on start
then run
then cmd
the telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (replace xxx with IP of your box)
username is root

then

cd etc
the vi profile

then change the following line:

Code: Alles auswählen

# timezone, only applicable for middle europe
export TZ=CET-1CEST,M3.5.0/2,M10.5.0/3
into

Code: Alles auswählen

]# timezone, only applicable for middle europe
export TZ=CET-0BST,M3.5.0/2,M10.5.0/3
then press escape
then Shift&Z twice to save and restart box
PT-1 is correct but the higlighting may confuse you :)

The line in /etc/profile should read
# timezone, only applicable for middle europe
export TZ=GMT0BST,M3.5.0/2,M10.5.0/3
to work in the UK.
