Within Neutrino you can add Password&Username and also change the port of the HTTP Interface.... But within Enigma...?

with enigma as well.. look under enigma expert settings... there is an option that you can activate.

yes, this ok

I would want remove WebBrowser :gruebel: example, my dreambox have ip address: 192.168.0.1 if I write http://192.168.0.1 I would not want window of user and pass. and not want WebBrowser but I would want error dns page.

example2 if i want blok access ftp and telnet on my dreambox I go
/etc/inetd.conf: (they work only on img in hdd)

# telnet stream tcp nowait root /sbin/telnetd telnetd
# ftp stream tcp nowait root /sbin/in.ftpd in.ftpd

with # blok access
without # no blok

but for http???? :gruebel: have understood to me? Sorry for my english

I think it won et be possible to do that because the Web Interface is
hard coded in enigma (that fat file ~3 MB and more), you may try to
delete files in /share...../htdocs and .../templates. To surpress telnet
access just delete in.ftpd in /sbin as You stated correctly.

you can't remove it but you can remove port 80 from the /etc/services file... then it's dead

no, that's nonsense - removing anything from /etc/services doesn't change anything, except that you can't use symbolic names anymore.

you can change the port in network settings from 80 to another one.

if you're lucky, you can change it to 0, preventing binding the port at all ;)

maybe you can make use of the firewall. The pli image has one but I never used it.
It shoukd be simple enough to block any traffic to port 80 to your specific ip-address.
Note: it is probably not wise to just block port 80. You might still want local application accesing hte web interface via localhost...
