URGENT HELP - DBOX2 not loading

Beitrag von karimko »

Dear Friends,
I have a Nokia 2xI dbox2 , I have flashed it with an image and it seems it was wrong , now the receiver starts and i only see the boot screen then LOADING KERNEL ON LCD and nothing happens..
What can i do to solve this?
Now i don't know the IP of the box? anyway to do it?
Any other method to flash without knowing the IP of the box?
Is there a default IP??

regards Karim

You must have flashed a 2 Flash Chip Image on a 1 Flash Chip Box or the other way around. Please download the right Image for your box.

Ucodes will only be loaded when you have the correct system on the box. Use ImageFlashing Assistant from http://www.hallenberg.com to make sure that you have the right Image as it checks what FlashChip type the Image is.

You can only upload the ucodes when the Image is up and running

finally got my problem sorted out, thanks a lot for everyone who tried to help me especially PT-1 because of your insistence that everything must be up and running, i was using ImageFlashing Assistant english version so i downloaded the german version and installed a new firmare and now i have the box up and running...hope i don't need ucodes or anything else..how can i make sure everything is ok??

thx.

So, upload your ucode files - these files are extracted from the original software (which are part of the dbox2, btw.). As an alternative, you may use the ucodes saved from the image which was o n the box prior to the reflash process (FAQ and docs always are saying: save your ucodes, you'll need 'em).

Still no ucodes at hand? Use the forces of the internet...
(ucodes are (c) and may not be redistributed!)
