Help me... I think my DBOX2 is dead after flashing

Beitrag von freejobos »

Hi,
I'm new here, and I'm from France, so I can't read and understanding german. In other case, I tried to found the answer here.
So, could somebody help me please ?
I just bought a Nokia DBOX2 (2 intel chips) and I tried to flash it. Before erasing flash process, the power turn off
After restarting the box, I have nomore colours on tv and nothing else on the display screen.
I obtain this message with Dbox bootmanager:
*************************
debug: DDF: Calibrating delay loop... debug: DDF: 67.79 BogoMIPS
debug: BMon V1.2 mID 01
debug: feID dd gtxID 0b
debug: fpID 5a dsID 01-b9.2c.81.07.00.00-59
debug: HWrev 09 FPrev 0.81

debug: NumberTest: debug: passed
debug: MarchTest: debug: passed

But in RSH Client (DBOX2-Bootmanager) I have this message:
************************
*** Achtung: RSH mit BR-Kernel funktioniert nur mit einem RARP-Server!
*** Also bitte den RARP-Server bei den Einstellungen aktivieren.

Bon soir, freejobos,

for the rest i'll stick to english, forget about my french.

The good news is, that Bmon (the original bootloader) still seems to be in good condition.

What do you get on LCD? "Kein System"? ("pas de system")

If so, go and flash an image. By the way, you still have the ucodes?

Hello Wolgade,
Thank you for this good news.. I hope I didn't break anything..
No in the LCD I have nothing... just a green screen. :gruebel:
No colors on TV and nothing more in the LCD.
I have any idea and all FAQ about this problem are in "deutch".
I hope you can help me..

If there is only a slightely green LCD and no Output from the serial connection then you might have killed you bootloader

Only desoldering and programming external can safe that box now

He gets output from the serial connection as you can see in his first posting. That's why I thought, that the bootloader is still alive.

"Slightly green LCD" on the other hand doesn't sound good. As far as I know it usually indicates a hardware problem.

WAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
What a stupid guy I am...
I didn't kill my DBOX... The problem came from the ethernet cable(it was defect)... This is the reason than computer couldn't establish the connection to the box.
I changed the cable and flash again my receiver with succes.
Thank you for your help guys.
You re always the best here.
Thank you again.
