Sagem dBOX Dead or not

Sagem DBox II with AVIA 600 Chip and 2 x AMD Flash Chips

was working ok until Thursday evening

now when it boots up I see the display on the LCD screen with the information (DBox is already in debug mode) stating the word Lade... and then nothing on the LCD or on the TV screen. Is my box dead - is it due to a booting problem, is it possible to fix it.

any ideas

Try to reflash your Box with the D-BOX Imageflashingassistent Version 2.1 Multilanguage.

thanks, if I use IFA then which is the best method of communication between PC and DBox cross-over LAn cable or Null Modem Cable.

Will I just need the image file (which I did a backup of so I have a copy of it).

Hello,
you need definitely a cross-over LAN-cable, an additional Null-modem-cable would help the IFA, if you have network-problems.

from my original post, what do you suspect to be the problem with my DBox - also any guides I can read up on how to use IFA to re-flash my DBox
