Note that this is NOT busybox 1.13 problem but dccamd! It don't work with bb 1.7 or 1.2 too :gruebel:
@waldi or @tmbinc ?

BTW, should I commit changes into cvs for bb 1.13 ?
Everything prepared and double checked for dreambox branch.

EDIT for post #1: busybox 1.13 with all changes commited into cvs.
For dreambox branch:

Code: Alles auswählen

--with-busybox=1.13
For dBox, I can't test nowhere, so hope that it will work too.

Hehe, yes, true.
It compiles 100% so no problem with that. Last time I commit skin preview someone was told Me that must to put in general cvs, not in branch.... well, this time I was put in dreambox as know that it work on My eyes. If it compile well, that mean nothing to Me as same is with damn dccamd! It is copy'd image is compressed and when it is inside box... lol kernel "oops" So, no excuse this time, hehe

Why don't You try 1.13?
Those are old one ( if You don't have any personal reason to use 1.12 ) ;)
Btw, Your attach are 1.13, so I don't understand clearly are You talking about 1.12.2 ( what is diff ) or 1.13 ?
1.13 is commited by Me today and I don't see any problem here. For 1.12, please make new thread and post question as this is ONLY 1.13

bb-1.13 stock currently does not work well with the dbox setup.
There are terminal problems because of init and insmod is not working on 2.4 kernels.

Hmm, isn't @seife or somebody port new kernel? I was think that newmake have that  Sorry!
I have it ( 2.6.26 ) working pretty well in My 7000'er. Only problem is that, that I must to cheat about head.ko :gruebel:
Why developers not port new kernel and recompiled head to branch, anyway? I don't see any reason except "I am lazy" or maybe occupation with oe boxes and 8000'er.
Also, that "close source" stuck with GPL as that head is pretty easy to decompile, but problem is in .... well don't know pretty well where.... somewhere between dmm and community... probably! If head is closed ( lol ) then They can compile it to be used with new kernel and not to put peoples around to cheat about it!
Erm, forget......... :(
Should I recheck compile and commit within few days?

Kernel 2.4 is smaller and leaves more space in the 8MB Dbox-flash memory for other important stuff.
Kernel 2.6 is just an option for Dbox people, I doubt that it will ever become default.

Well, 2.6.xx can be small too, but this is not a topic anyway. I will remember this too.
Thank You both for quick reply. :)

Re: [PROBLEM] dccamd

dccamd is dreamcrypt cam daemon

It's Dream Multimedia's own software cam for DreamCrypt encrypted channels, so I cannot say atm which device/s it use as don't have box here, but it's anyway closed source, so I don't know if anybody else try to compile image with dreambox tag and have same problem.
If have, then someone was change structure...... :gruebel:
When I decompile it, will tell You exact thing... anyway I assume that it is probably almost same as camd or whatever dBox use for that.
