nokia & sagem no display??

Hi, everyone, my appoligise if this is in the wrong section or forum but I have no idea who or where to ask.

I have now two dbox2's both with the same symptom's.

First is a nokia cable 2xI, there is nothing on the screen except a dim light, this box worked for two weeks then nothing.

Second is a Sagem cable 2xI, this one I stuffed myself by doing it the same way as the bmon 1.0, but it was a bmon 1.2, but the syptoms are exactly the same as above.

I have taken the 28f320 chips out & re-flashed them with ones from the same boxes (nokia 2xI & sagem 2xI ) but there is no change???

I have checked the flash checksums with the copied ones & they are the same? I have no idea where to start looking??

p.s. I am a qualified electronics engineer, so I have access to any equipment needed.

I hope someone help as I am now stuck & no idea what to try next.

Maybe you mixed the Flashs (IH2 soldered on IH5 and vice versa).

Does the CPU read out some data from the Flashs (measure address and data-pins with an osciloscope). Does the CPU run on 16MHz (default) or 66MHz (first few Bytes of the BMon set it to that frequency) - for Nokia the freq. is on RPN1 - Sagem I don't know right now.

Hi m8, thanks for the reply, I checked & double checked that I had the correct on in the right place, even to re-moving & flashing one at a time, but still the same, I must admit to not checking the prosessor as was not sure of what & where to start, but now I shall do the checks you suggest, Just a quick one though, the bmon does not even make any attempt to start, just compleatly blank execept for a smallll brightness in the display....
